As of now, the best way is (for each such user who prefers) to add the relevant page to his/her watchlist. This has to be done by the user himself.
Once you have configured the user preferences properly, any wiki page can be added to your watch list by clicking the faint "Star" symbol at the top of the page. If, on a particular page, the star has a pale blue color, that page is already in your watch list.
Any page that you happen to edit once, can automatically be added to your watchlist by setting an option in your user preference (Edit options). This is a highly preferred setting. (Automatically add pages I edit to my watchlist.)
