I want to draw attention to this page- [[मूषकम्]]. Somebody made it featured article. Calling mouse मूषकम् is plain wrong. We can not do literal translations. Sanskrit have a standard for which it is known, we have to maintain that quality. Wikipedia is becoming main source of information for many people, seeing that use of incorrect nomenclature to make language ambigious is not really what sanskrit stand for. Sanskrit is known for maintaining unambogious clear speech in most cases and giving you ability to be very ambigious without compromising to vernacular like non scientific nomenclature. But use of such vernacularization would destroy everything sanskrit is known for and the reason for its revival. That is what seperate Sanskrit form Prakrit. Calling it something like that in Prakrit or Hindi wikipedia wouldn't damage anything, but it isn't something which quite match what Sanskrit is all about. Recent I checked [http://www.scribd.com/doc/100804570/English-Sanskrit-Computer-Dictionary this English-Sanskrit dictionary] specially made for computer related terms do have many very good translation but sorry to say some are absolutely incorrect. Translation of kernel is हृदयम् and गर्भः which I assume is related with kernel being the center of most operting system upon which everything depends. Correct translation would be संविधा गर्भः. Many languages like Chinese and Hebrew have done the mistake to copy the rubbish vernacular-class literal translation of english, let's not repeat it. History have shown how plain wrong it goes. Like that example of term 'sinus' (sine in english). Originally 'Jeeva' in sanskrit (=chord). Arabs started calling it 'Jeeba'. Arabs didn't used vowel marks those days so Latin translators of arabic translated text from sanskrit originals interprated 'jb'(no vowels) as jaib which means to blossoms in arabic. So they translated it into 'sinus' which means to blossom in Latin! Guess what we get out of what.
Correct translation of mouse should be: सारकनिर्देशकम्
And then we use the foreign words we put halant on the last akshar, like see example from the mushakam page (ग्राफिकल्-यूसर्-इन्टरफेस्). Oh my god. English don't have non vowel sounds at end! It is impossible. English have very few non vowel sounds like 's' of best. They are almost never on end. No modern language does and yet they are at many place. And finally on use of foreign words in sanskrit, I think they shouldn't be inflexed. I think they should be used as avyay as they are not analyzable to roots. Though I am not very soure on this.
