Some users may not understand now, but while using they will feel it. Even this e ऎ o ऒ case was not complained by our users; at that time I took initiative to replace them with more frequent characters ए and ओ (using a script), which then was felt by us as a speed-booster.
Any way, I request our respected users to freely tell their objections/suggestions, and then finalize it as per consensus. Thanks. -Hemant wikikosh (चर्चा) ०५:२२, २१ मई २०१४ (UTC)
I want to add one more thing: This is regarding Nukta (नुक्ता) used in soft pronunciation of letters. There are following frequently used letters (of course for non-Indian-origin words)- क़, ख़ ग़, ज़, फ़ । Note that the dot sign below is called as Nukta, and in INSCRIPT, it is not separately applied, but is part of a single letter (when you delete it whole letter gets deleted, not "dot and then letter". But our present mapping, wrongly, renders it as ज+Nukta or क+Nukta, which is not what is desired. Moreover the Nukta is currently provided separately too at ~ key, which is not at all useful for the same reason. Now the point is, if we really want to accommodate these five letters then what we can do is- k+ ` = क़ and j+ ` =ज़ (note that ` is typed with same key where ~ is there). This means we will actually be substituting the original क with क़ rather than adding a Nukta which was the current case, and this will give us method to correctly write pronunciation of foreign words.
For ड़, ढ़ (these letters are highly used in North Indian languages as in दत्तोपन्त ठेंगड़ी or सिंहगढ़ ), similarly, we can use ड+` and ढ+` . Thanks. -Hemant wikikosh (चर्चा) ०५:४६, २१ मई २०१४ (UTC)
