अस्य कार्ल् लाण्ड्स्टैनरस्य संशोधनेन रक्तपूरणं सुलभम् अभवत् । तेन मरणोन्मुखाः अपि जीवितवन्तः । 'एम्’, 'एन्’, तथा 'एम् एन्’ नामकानां रक्तस्य समूहानां संशोधनगणे अपि एषः कार्ल् लाण्ड्स्टैनर् आसीत् । एषः कार्ल् लाण्ड्स्टैनर् १९४३ तमे वर्षे जून्-मासस्य २६ तमे दिनाङ्के प्रयोगालये कार्यकरणावसरे एव हृदयाघातेन मरणं प्राप्नोत् ।
