English: The four Vedas are the oldest and largest collection of religious texts known, books within them estimated to have been composed between 1400 to 800 BCE. Each Veda has embedded Upanishads, which were influential in the evolution of Hinduism over the centuries. This manuscript folio is from the Samaveda.

A digital version of this text has been archived by the British Library with the assistance of École française d’Extrême-Orient. The original is preserved in Kerala, at Vadakke Madham Brahmaswam – a Vedic studies center.
