Sambhashana Sandesha is a Samskrit magazine । It was published in September 1994 for the first time. 2021 was observed as the silver jubilee of the magazine. It has been publishing continuously from the time of establishment without fail and hasn't stopped even at the pandemic situation.

History

Samskrit stood as the backbone of India and its culture. All the literary forms were written in Samskrit and were spread around the globe. Later this language has reduced to some sect of people and into the classrooms. It lost its role as a day to day speaking language. Colonization and the influence of Western Education were the prominent reasons behind this eradication. Samskrit has become a language of scholars later.

Samskrita Bharati, a non profit service oriented organization, came forward to rejuvenate and propagate Samskrit as a daily language. Many Samskrit enthusiasts were keenly interested to put up a Samskrit magazine even from the beginning. 'Speak Samskrit camps' were constituted in the beginning to introduce Samskrit to the people as a medium of conversation. The effort was highly successful. Focusing on those people, for their extensive reading the Samskrit magazine Sambhashana Sandesha was established in 1994. It imparts the knowledge and thoughts hidden in the language.

It was established with a focus on the below given aspects.

• Propagate Samskrit.
• Impart modern knowledge in Samskrit.
• Showcase the philosophy of Samskrit

Special edition

A 'Vijayadasami special edition' is published every year from 1996. In 2006 a special edition was published on Madhavrao Sadashivrao Golwalkar in connection with his birth centenary.

Books published

Samskrita Bharati has published few books compiling various articles published in Sambhashana Sandesa. Some of those are bhāṣāpakaḥ (3 vols, notes on common linguistic errors), āśramaṃ paritaḥ (novel series).

Awards

The magazine is conferred with an award by Kavikulaguru Kalidas Sanskrit University, Nagpur.^{[उद्धरणं वाञ्छितम्]} ।

Other Activities

The Sambhashana Sandesa trust organizes other activates such as bhāṣāpākaparīkṣā (examination), lekhakānuvādakavargaḥ (Training in Samskrit writing) etc.
