What do you think about it?

A just saw that most of the Nepali users have a good knowledge of Sanskrit. I thought of conducting a Nepal week on this wiki. We can contact the Nepali wiki embassy and ask Nepali users to improve the coverage of Nepal related articles on SA wiki. I need the approval of some of the users. Crat?

MikeLynch, It doesn't need to be shown on the main page of Wikisource if the content is not suitable for Sanskrit Wikisource. Remember Wikipedia/wikisource is not a Sanskrit portal. So you cannot have all type of Sanskrit texts in one wiki. You need to move the Sanskrit texts to the respective wikis according to its category. --Shijualex १५:५५, १९ मेय् २०११ (UTC)

Vaibhav, How do do you come to that conclusion? Mahabharata, Ramayana and similar books should be in Wikisource itself. I was talking about the subhashithams the nature of which is different.

What type of approval you require? The whole community need to work towards that. The approval for wikiquote will be given only if you translate the relevant system messages to Sanskrit and you have a sizable community to work on it. --Shijualex १५:३७, १९ मेय् २०११ (UTC)

Don't you think that the community news is too much about Samskrutha Bharati. Sanskrutha Bharati people are still not very active on this wiki. How can the credit of increase of article count from 4000 to 4750 given to Samskrita Bharati. Crat

As a bureaucrat, it will be good if you could check in twice in a week. Honestly speaking, there is not much of bureaucrat activities you will be doing. Let me tell you what a bureaucrat can do as a part of his technical abilities.

• Grant the administrator and bureaucrat userrights to users.
• Grant IP Block exemptions to users.
• Rename users.

Now, these things happen very rarely. It is not everyday that a user asks for admin tools or crat rights. Hence, it is not necessary for you to be online very frequently.

Admins and bureaucrats are also expected to mediate in discussions, and try to make peace.

And policy requires two bureaucrats to be active, so that permissions can be granted locally. This way, we don't have to go to meta everytime someone requests to be an admin.

However, if you do not edit for long periods of time, say, 5-6 months, then the userright may be removed. But if you plan on remaining active, then this may be right for you. Rao7 •^Talk १३:१६, २२ मेय् २०११ (UTC)
